The Sequel or Where Things Fall Apart
The Power of Six (Lorien Legacies)-Pittacus Lore

The sequel to I Am Number Four, The Power of Six is less about six than the title leads you to believe. Tricksy title, instead of being about #6 and her powers, it is about the six Garde left. I wanted to like this book, because I liked the first one so much (and hello because I’d really love to see more shirtless Alex Pettyfer as 4 in a movie sequel). While I appreciate the action, the introduction of #7, and some of the surprise introductions along the way, I pretty much hated disliked the plot line which undoes all the endearing parts of the first book. There are choices that I’m not sure are consistent for me with the character personalities previously established. We are all weary of love triangles. Welp, forget love triangles, this book has a love square & it’s damn weird. Will I keep reading the series? To the very end but only because I need to know what happens.
