Out of Sight, Out of Time (Gallagher Girls Academy Book 5)- Ally Carter
If there was a single series that I could actually live, it would be Gallagher Girls. Out of Sight, Out of Time is such an incredible story. I love that this book significantly advances the overall series plot and what’s more there’s an great twist. It differs from the previous series books in time construction; rather than living through the ordeal, we are forced to relive and remember as Cammie does. There’s almost a secondary psychological trauma involved and it’s fascinating (and very Book of the Duchess IMO). Zachary Goode is even more perfect than I thought humanly possible and several friendships are tested. Cammie is the most relatable character I’ve ever read and I’m on her side through and through. The end of this book indicates a change of tactics and OH MAN am I looking forward to them!

Only the Good Spy Young by Ally Carter
Carter’s latest installment of the Gallagher Girl series is the best yet! Seriously, if I could magically become a fictional teenager and go back to high school, I would want to be Cammie Morgan and a Gallagher Girl. So much action is packed into so few pages here that it boggles the mind. My biggest fear for this book was that Zach wouldn’t live up to his last name (Goode). With as many great plot twists as this book had, the next book can’t come soon enough.
Heist Society- Ally Carter
The Characters- Our lead, Katarina, runs from her life as thief royalty, wanting only to be normal. Fortunately for her, the smexy (See! I told you I’d use it!) Hale is there to remind here who she is and where she belongs.
The Plot- A theft, someone wrongly accused, a re-theft to make all things right. In between, some romance, some family revelations, some friendships, and some serious bad guys. All in all I loved the plot and just as with all Ally Carter books, I did not see that coming. There are plenty of questions to be answered if there is (and I hope there is) a sequel.
Writing- Carter knows what she’s doing. The art, theft, and security details are wonderously accurate. I wish there was more magic in some of the dialogue between Hale and Kit, but the novel is full of pregnant moments of possibility.
Ending- VERY interesting indeed. Where will the job take them next?
On a last note, whoever did the cover, that spotgloss was a brilliant touch!
Soundtrack Song: For this one, I cheat, since Ally Carter already made her own playlist when she wrote the book, and I happened to listen to it before I read the book that is clearly what I thought of when reading. You can find it here: http://allycarter.abeedoo.com/blog/?s=playlist
Use the popout player.
